Lunch + Learn: Grant Writing Workshop
September 23 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm PDT
There are billions of dollars in grants issued by the Canadian government every year. The sad reality is that no one teaches you how to access the “pot of gold”. It is important that Indigenous owned and/or those who serve Indigenous communities understand what programs are available and be corrected on misconceptions about government grants.
This online workshop outlines best practices when preparing for upcoming funding programs and how to develop an effective grant strategy for a business. It also includes in-class activities where we review a grant together to give you the practical experience of researching, identifying, and assessing the right programs for a business. Case studies of how other businesses and organizations have leveraged grants for growth.
Special guest Court Larabee will chat about his experience in applying for different grants geared to support the Indigenous communities as well as the verbiage used that helps to heighten an application from good to great!
