Calling all dreamers and pioneers
In 1960, inspired by the Squaw Valley Olympics, a group of pioneering Vancouver businessmen had a dream of building a world class resort in Whistler that would one day host a winter Olympic Games. At the time Whistler had no road, no electricity, no piped water and no sewers. Fifty years later their hard work and vision was rewarded with the 2010 Winter Olympic Games that was shared between host cities, Whistler and Vancouver.
The Whistler Learning Centre is seeking funding from individuals and companies who share our passion and long term vision to make Whistler a leader in life-long learning and thought leadership. The WLC requires support to continue to develop and deliver educational opportunities within Whistler and embed life-long learning as a pillar of the Whistler brand to contribute to the overall health of the community and resort.
Speaker Series: Whistler, the world class mountain resort is used to pushing the limits in building a community focused on leadership, either in extreme sports and outdoor activities, preserving our valued environment, resort management or in Arts and Culture.
